Mario is a jewellery maker with 20 years of formal experience, based in the heart of London’s fine jewellery district, Hatton Garden.

Mario currently offers high-quality bespoke commissions for private clients and top-end trade work for renowned jewellery businesses.

Before beginning his formal training, Mario began learning about and making jewellery as a teenager in his family’s workshop in Colombia’s coffee region. During this time, he developed the passion as well as the skills and knowledge that would lead him to later become a craftsman and goldsmith of exceptional standard.

In his early twenties, Mario moved to Barcelona, Spain, where he worked for a range of well-known contemporary and classic jewellery companies before relocating to London in 2013.

Mario’s experience in a variety of different settings over the years has given him a wide range of skills and the ability to work with very fine gemstones, diamonds and metals to exacting standards.

Combining his in-depth knowledge and technical expertise, Mario is an excellent interpreter of his client’s ideas, helping them to create unique and personalised pieces.

He also offers the option of using Fairtrade registered and recycled materials.

Mario enjoys working both with those who are new to the world of jewellery and with jewellery experts and design professionals.
