As a goldsmith with over 20 years of experience, Mario blends traditional craftsmanship of the highest quality with modern artistry.

In his designs he draws inspiration from geometric shapes, nature, his cultural heritage (particularly pre-Hispanic jewellery), with a touch of Art Deco elegance. The pieces he creates reflect a fusion of contemporary design with a deep commitment to handcrafted jewellery.

Mario’s journey into the world of jewellery began as a teenager in his family’s workshop in Colombia’s coffee region, where he first discovered his passion for this craft. After moving to Barcelona in his early twenties, he worked for a range of renowned contemporary and classic jewellery companies, further refining his skills and gaining the experience that would shape his career. In 2013, Mario relocated to London and started to work in Hatton Garden, where he later established his own practice. This year, he moved to The Goldsmiths’ Centre in London, where he now offers top-quality bespoke commissions for private clients and designers, as well as high-end trade work for distinguished jewellery businesses.
