J Mario Jewellery

As a goldsmith with over 20 years of experience, I blend traditional craftsmanship of the highest quality with modern artistry.

In my designs I draw inspiration from geometric shapes, nature, my cultural heritage (particularly pre-Hispanic jewellery), with a touch of Art Deco elegance. The pieces I create reflect a fusion of contemporary design with a deep commitment to handcrafted jewellery.

My journey into the world of jewellery began as a teenager in my family’s workshop in Colombia’s coffee region, where I first discovered my passion for this craft. After moving to Barcelona in my early twenties, I worked for a range of renowned contemporary and classic jewellery companies, further refining my skills and gaining the experience that would shape my career. In 2013, I relocated to London and started to work in Hatton Garden, where I now offer top-quality bespoke commissions for private clients, as well as high-end trade work for distinguished jewellery businesses.

My extensive experience allows me to work with the finest gemstones, diamonds, and metals to exacting standards. I enjoy collaborating with both people who are new to the world of jewellery and seasoned design professionals, helping them to create unique and personalised pieces. With a blend of technical expertise and creative vision, I take pride in bringing my clients’ ideas to life through carefully crafted, one-of-a-kind jewellery.

Sustainability and ethical practices have become an increasingly important part of my work: for the past six years, I have offered recycled metals and Fairtrade gold, and I am now proudly introducing certified Fairmined Gold into my work, ensuring that the piece reflects not only beauty but also responsibility.
